Dairy Policy
I think if a dairy policy would be in place, one of the key areas to emphasize would be on research in the whole process of value chain. This is a complex issue and really needs a lot of careful thought when formulating policies bearing in mind the future of the sector

ICT and efficiency in farmer coops/SHG
In this times of stiff competition from the milk processors and the coops each one trying to offer a better price, the milk processors can spoil the market for the coops. The coops need to employ methods of efficient operations to increase maximum use of resources without increasing costs.Computerization in organizations has shown to reduce duplication of effort, reduce human manpower and this may go along in saving costs enabling the cooperatives to pay extra to the farmers.

significance of research in value addition
can do a lot to add value and reduce costs but seldom used due to lack of funds and lack of implementation policies in the sector.research is the key to development especially in developing countries but is seldom given the importance it deserves
